The color red can oftentimes be used in holidays and other events. One of the more popular events where the color red is most present is that of Chinese New Year. The Lunar New Year in Chinese culture began on January 22nd of this year, and those who celebrate often wear red to promote good fortune for themselves and for their families. In addition to the Lunar New Year, red is also worn for weddings, whereas places such as the United States often wear white for weddings.
